The First Amendment

The first amendment gives you five basic freedoms, one of the five basic freedoms is freedom of religion

"The Bill Of Rights was written on May 25, 1787, after the second continental congress called for a convection in philadelphia to modify the Articles Of Confederation". "Fifty five of the delegates from the thirteen states were there to fix the weaknesses of the Articles Of Confederation".
The "Bill Of Rights" were created by the founding fathers, they created the bill of rights because the founding fathers did not like a powerful government, so they made these rights to protect other peoples rights.
A lot of people would want freedom of religion more than freedom of assembly, it says that 59% of people are religious, 23% are not religious, and 13% are atheist
This Amendment means something to my life because if this was not a amendment than I would not be able to worship the "God" I would want to worship. I would have to worship the governments "God", so that's why I picked this amendment.

  1. The first amendment is a good choice because it's easy and the first amendment is very important because these are the rights that can not be taken away from someone because they were born some of these freedoms.
